Volunteer Opportunity: Supporting the Christine Avery Learning Center in Swananoa
We are seeking volunteers to assist in the recovery efforts for the Christine Avery Learning Center in Swananoa. This center, one of three in the region, was severely impacted by flooding and is in urgent need of support to resume operations.
ERN will be delivering nursery and school supplies to the center during the first week of February. Beginning January 26th, we also need volunteers to help with cleanup and rebuilding efforts. Your assistance—whether for a single day or an extended period—can make a significant difference.
For those able to stay longer, we have partnered with a church in Boone to provide lodging.
This is an opportunity to meet a critical need in the community, and we feel called to step in and help. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us. Together, we can restore this vital resource for the Swananoa community.
Volunteer Opportunity: Supporting Recovery Efforts in the Boone Community
We are currently seeking dedicated volunteers to assist with recovery efforts in the Boone community. The needs in this area are diverse and include:
- General debris cleanup
- Construction and rebuilding projects
- Log cutting and splitting
- Removal of damaged furniture and drywall from homes
- Repairing roads and bridges
Whether you have experience in these areas or simply the willingness to learn and lend a hand, your help is invaluable.
Additionally, there is an ongoing need for support at The Rock Church, which is hosting volunteers during these efforts. Assistance is needed with cleaning, general maintenance, and meal preparation at their lodging facility.
